A recent quantitative study carried out in South Africa found a similar association between measles campaigns and decreased routine immunization coverage.
Factors contributing to the epidemic included a large population of susceptible adults; decreased childhood immunization, which compromised what had been a well-established childhood vaccination program; suboptimal socioeconomic conditions; and high population movement.
Compared to baseline, growth inhibition activity against 3D7 tended to decrease following immunization with the rabies vaccine and increase following immunization with either dose of malaria vaccine, although these trends were not statistically significant (Figure 3A).

The ability of CH-1R to provide effective protection against a HP-PRRSV infection has been demonstrated in our previous study [ 24], in which, CH-1R immunization decreased and increased the serum level of IL-10 and IL-4, respectively, along with the increased animal's health status.
