Although there was a drastic decline in August, occupation rates recovered in the following month, but the crowdedness indexes dropped afterwards (Figure 4c).
The Department for Communities and Local Government (DCLG), which publishes the survey each year, said: "The proportion of all households in owner occupation increased steadily from the 1980s to 2003 when it reached a peak of 71%." "Since then, there has been a gradual decline in owner occupation to the current 65%," it added.
But the survey shows that the decline in owner-occupation began years before Lehman's collapse in 2007, and when finance was plentiful.
As expected, I found a negative relationship between the two variables: higher routine task intensity leads to larger declines in employment occupations.

While it is unclear why the teaching profession has become increasingly more female in recent decades, the authors point out that the change in the male-to-female ratio in teaching is not the result of a decline in males entering the occupation.

While skill-biased technical change is a good explanation for the increase in the upper tail distribution of the labour force composition, it cannot explain a recent phenomenon: the decline in the share of middle occupations relative to high- and low-skilled occupations.
Despite a paucity of relevant data, support for this hypothesis comes from a study of nearly 500 people with AD in Ohio where education, but not occupation, influenced rate of cognitive decline, whilst neither education nor occupation affected rate of decline in ADLs [ 9].
At the same time, non-graduate workers in bottom occupations have a decline in the probability of moving to middle jobs.
