The household survey, implemented as part of a measurement, learning and evaluation grant to the IDEAS project (Informed Decisions for Actions in maternal and newborn health), at London School of Hygiene and Tropical Medicine, was designed to measure population level coverage of newborn behaviours and practices, including immediate breastfeeding and delayed bathing.
In the already long-lasting peaceful times marked by the predominance of the welfare state in Europe, the use of the internet is practically the only means for efficiently involving people, and particularly young people, in the political information exchange, debates, collectively prepared decisions for action and in the political action itself.
This supports the making of clinical decisions for action in follow-up care.
Methodology: Project processes were analyzed through the Triple A cycle (1- analysis of a situation and decisions for action, 2– action, 3- assessment of the results, feeding into a new analysis).
Therefore, at its most effective, research priority setting should be close to the decision for action, and responsive to changes in practices and services.
The decision for action always remains the property of the patient, with a space for encouraged actions in parallel, which leads the trainer to work with the patient's individual dispositions, helping the patient to become aware of the advantages and constraints of his environment.

For any intervention to be effective, knowledge of adverse effects is essential as it facilitates the progression of a person from pre-contemplation to contemplation phase of the behavioral cycle, where the decision for action (reduce exposure to SHS or quitting smoking) can be taken [ 13].
