Despite technical malfunctions, the performance of this prototype system of the CS-1 Decision Support System device was, from a clinical point of view, already effective in maintaining tight glycaemic control.
Future interventions to optimise test choices for frequently occurring important decisions may need to be mostly preprepared (eg, practice guidelines or computer-based tools; in the dizziness case, perhaps prepackaged decision support using device-based physiologic diagnosis 28).
New opportunities for communication, education and decision support through mobile devices (mHealth) could also provide maternity care workers with remote advice and produce data for feedback and audit [ 68].
