"decay law" is a correct and usable phrase in written English.
It is most commonly used as a technical term, usually in the fields of physics and mathematics, to refer to a law that describes how a quantity or quality changes over time, usually in a negative sense, such as the amount of a radioactive substance decaying over time. For example, "The decay law states that the amount of a radioactive substance decreases over time."
Watching the process, Rutherford and Soddy formulated the exponential decay law (see decay constant), which states that a fixed fraction of the element will decay in each unit of time.
