The probable and confirmed cases were identified among children attending three different daycare sections (Table 1).
A total of 95% of the children were in center-based daycare (see Table 1), at which the person who knew the child best was asked to complete the TRF.
Despite randomization, there were notable differences among treatment groups in the frequency of potentially confounding factors, especially gender, presence of siblings in the home, frequency of AOM prior to study entry, and daycare attendance (Table 1).
