"We've had to pull contractors off the job, and it is costing us thousands of dollars a day in contractor penalty fees," said the college's lawyer, Arthur Goldstein of Huntington.
"Literally the day the contractor showed up to do the repairs, a group of residents chained themselves to the fence.
What happens is: they keep giving contracts to contractors, no matter what their ethics or lack thereof, because, in many cases, they hope that one day these contractors will hire them and, in many cases, they do.
On Tuesday, a contractor at Knoblauch's house in a Houston suburb said Knoblauch would be gone for most of the week.
