Of these miRNAs 144 were found to overlap between datasets, indicating that in PMBCs approximately 16.5% of miRNAs studied were reduced by 2-fold with age (Fig. 2, Table S2).
Discovery of alternative transcripts in our datasets indicates that ~50%% of genes expressed in larvae have alternative transcripts.
Meta-analysis in Oncomine prostate datasets indicates that 32 of the 66 genes in this signature correlate with prostate cancer status.
Further analysis using 135 cervical cancer genome sequencing data from TCGA datasets indicates that YAP gene is altered in 17% examined cases (Fig EV1).

Similarly, we identified a microglia-enriched consensus module in brain datasets, indicating that primed microglia in Me7, aging, rTg4510, and App-Ps1 mice had a similar gene expression profile.
In addition the overlap between cells active in C versus CI comparisons was also far greater than in reshuffled datasets, indicating that the coactivation pattern present in coactivations in general was preserved in coactivations with impinging inputs (mean = 60.2±13.4%; n = 485 movie pairs; reshuffled mean = 23.4±2.4%; different with p<0.001) (Figure 3b).
Accordingly, gene sequences potentially encoding all enzymes of the mevalonate pathway described in the MetaCyc database [ 30] were found either in S. mansoni or in S. japonicum public datasets, indicating that this pathway is intact in schistosomes (Table 2).
Nonetheless, in all the datasets, the tumors with significant upregulation of the CIN signature also upregulated the senescence-bypass transcriptional program and exhibited similar stress phenotypes as observed in breast cancer datasets, indicating that the pathway interdependencies observed in breast tumors are shared across different types of cancer.
These values are both small and consistent between datasets, indicating that the variance inherent in the CCL3L1/CCL4L1 PRT measurement system is low, and the precision of the PRT measurements in estimating integer copy number is high and reproducible between datasets.
