No one knows whether tornadoes have increased in number or intensity, since the aforementioned changes in reporting practices "make the intensity question harder to answer," Brooks said, adding, "If you take the dataset of reports at face value, it appears intensity has decreased over the years, but there are a number of things that have led to lower ratings for the strongest tornadoes".
Drawing on a dataset of officially reported sanctions from 1938 onwards, we find that energy sanctions were particularly frequent between 1973 and 2002, with key senders being the US, Russia, and the UN, each using different sanction regimes, goals, and measures.
To remedy the reliance on anecdotes, we have created a hand-coded dataset of 1144 reported court decisions from 1982 to 2012 in which U.S. district courts or the Court of Appeals for the Federal Circuit rendered a decision on the enablement, written-description, or claim-definiteness requirements of § 112.
To do so, we retrieved a dataset of 4817 reported associations, collected from GWAS studies, between 3943 unique SNPs and disease traits shown to have P-values meeting a threshold of < 1.0 × 10-5 [ 24].
Records for 144 661 patients were available for analysis after applying the same exclusion criteria applied to the dataset of patient reported outcome measures, joint registry, and hospital episode statistics linked records.
