OffScale is a database version management platform — or, in its own words, Git for databases — aimed at allowing businesses to focus on creating faster product development cycles and releases by taking the hassle out of copying and managing their databases.
Its products include The Vertica Analytic Database, which helps in analyzing data; Vertica for the Cloud, a cloud-based analytic database that helps in data management; and Vertica Analytic Database appliance, a hardware/software data management platform.
Others that have specifically created "consumerized" platforms for database management include Looker (which lets you use natural language for database queries), Good Data, Origami Logic specifically for marketers, Import.io to help create datasets from unstructured data, Visual.ly to make visualizations of data, and many more.
To put things simply, the platform helps streamline content writing, database management, and social features by combining features of blogs, wikis, and more into one unified platform.
Also, database management systems such as Oracle and MySQL provide platforms for retrieving contradictory data from a noisy dataset.
