The EMR's laboratory-data subsystem has standard methods of determining whether a given result is in the normal range, based on reference/laboratory standards and the patient's age and sex: the clinician can additionally bring information on other physiological states such as pregnancy to bear on the result.
As shown in Figure 1, the biometric processing device integrated with cryptographic technology consists of the following five parts: (1) data collection subsystem, (2) signal processing subsystem, (3) biometric feature extraction subsystem, (4) biometric feature registration/input subsystem, and (5) matching and decision subsystem.
