Sequence data from the specimens obtained during the outbreak indicated the presence of measles viruses belonging to genotype D6, which is one of the prevalent genotypes of measles virus in Europe.
For these, the specific patient identifiers are separated from the other information about the specimen, as well as research data derived from the specimen, such that no immediate link can be made with the patient.
We entered data from the new specimen into a phylogenetic data matrix of Coelurosauria from a recent study [13] (Appendix S1).

Based on the methylation data from the P1 specimens, a cut-off to reach a minimum of 90% sensitivity was selected for the 3 genes: EBP41L3 = 0.9, DPYS = 2.7 and MAL = 0.5 and then applied to data collected in P2 (Table 3).
