Propagating waves observed at two different points should have high correlation when data are shifted by a propagation delay.
The results showed that there were events with quite similar waveforms when the data are shifted by the onset delays.
On the other hand, if the data are shifted by half of the voxel size (plus an arbitrary multiple of the voxel size), the interpolation effects are maximal.
If, for example, the data are shifted by a multiple of the voxel size, the data are not interpolated at all.
However, the corresponding peaks of the main shock data are shifted to longer periods, for example, from 0.2 to 0.25 s or from 0.5 to 0.8 s.
Also, there are several events whose waveforms are synchronized, including their irregular features when the data are shifted by the onset delays (for example, Figure1b and events F and G in Figure2).

Although the SUNY gridded data is shifted in time (using interpolation) for consistency, we find the hourly readings from two adjacent pixels (within the same timezone but obtained using different satellites) can be very different.
Some of these high-correlation events have the properties of propagating waves; Pi 2 waveforms at the ground stations and the satellite were synchronized with each other when the data were shifted by onset delays.
Comparing the aligned vs. the unaligned data, a major improvement can be seen for the consecutive TOF-MRA/PET data by aligning the TOF-MRA data, i.e., the standard deviation of IDIF-based CBF is reduced by a factor of 5 when the TOF-MRA data is shifted to match spatial position of the arteries in PET.
