Scotopic ERG recordings were made in dark adapted animals (24 h of dark adaptation) with flashes of different light intensities (0.1, 1, 100, 1,000 and 10,000 mcds m−2).
Participants underwent an episode of 1.5 h under dim light conditions (<8 lux), which was followed by a 2-h dark adaptation episode under complete darkness (0 lux).
