Chipping Norton, about 20 miles northwest of Oxford, is a classic Cotswold market town, faced in gorgeous stone, its market square tilted down the side of a hill, with, in the bottom of the dale it overlooks, a splendid old wool mill famous for its massively tall chimney.
I told Dale it was unacceptable.
The hope is that once students start blogging, says Dale, it could build a community, foster collaboration and perhaps help with the personal development planning that students and tutors have to work on.
Running north for 38 miles from Otley, in Wharfedale, to Middleham, in Wensleydale, through four other dales, it passes ruined abbeys, quaint villages and wild open countryside.
Six Dales Trail Though this two year-old trail passes through some of the most glorious countryside in the Yorkshire Dales it was designed specifically to open up some of the area's lesser-known countryside, and does so brilliantly.
Built in the four-acre gardens of Tupgill Park in the Dales, it's a warren of labyrinths, follies, passageways and secret doors.
