In this study, the catalytically active species for the CO oxidation reaction, PdO x -NiO y /C nanocomposite, was generated in situ in the reaction environment, and its stable, sustainable activity under cycled conditions could be ascribed to the synergistic interaction among the PdO, NiO NPs, and carbogenic supports.
