The distribution of PLCζ within the activating mouse oocyte changes during the first cell cycle, exhibiting PN localisation during zygotic interphase [ 66, 94- 97] thereby restricting access of the enzyme to its substrate PIP2, and thus resulting in termination of Ca2+ oscillations.
