Ball-end machining is a method used to create cusp-type geometry, which is employed on CNC machines to create sculptured surfaces.
A calorimeter system capable of DC biasing, consisting of a copper target plate, thermocouples (TC), and a copper electrical wire, has been newly assembled and applied for an experimental study of the cusp-type direct energy converter (CuspDEC) divertor concept.
