The ADBI was used in the current study to assess the concurrent validity of each method (curtailment, stochastic curtailment, and the full-length COMM); the sensitivity and specificity of these methods with respect to the ADBI will be reported in a later section.
Recent work has created shorter versions of the SOAPP-R, including a static 12-item short form and two computer-based methods (curtailment and stochastic curtailment) that monitor assessments in progress.
The proposed method prevents curtailment of 42% more load and delivers 41% more energy than the previous methods.
If the practitioner requires that the result of the shortened version ("screened in" or "screened out") match that of the full-length version for all respondents, then curtailment is the correct method to use.
