All were compacted on a vibration table, the PVC end cap and plastic film were used to prevent evaporation, see Fig. 4, then demoulded a day after casting and water-cured in a standard curing room for 28 days.

The enzyme α-chymotrypsin, a model for catalytic proteins, was entrapped in different silicone elastomers that were formed via the condensation-cure room temperature vulcanization (CC-RTV) of silanol terminated poly(dimethylsiloxane) with tetraethyl orthosilicate as a crosslinker, in the presence of different poly ethylene oxide) oligomers that were functionalized with triethoxysilyl groups.
Next, the specimens were moved into a standard curing room and cured for 60 days.
Before heating treatment, the specimens were taken out of standard curing room and exposed to air for 2 months.
After one day, the specimen were demolded and retained in the curing room where the relative humidity and temperature were maintained at 95%and2525 °C, respectively.

Specimens were demolded after 24 h and then moist cured in a standard curing room for a further 28 days in order to test the samples with a standard testing machine.
Specimens with/without phosphoric acid (H3PO4) were cast and cured in the air, under the saturated limewater and in a curing room at relative humidity of 80% RH and temperature of 60 °C, respectively.
