The inauguration in March of this concentrated solar power (CSP) plant costing 7.8 billion rand ($640m) is but the crest of a wave of renewable energy projects sweeping across Africa.Projects such as these cannot come quickly enough for a continent starved of energy.
Meanwhile, large international CSP companies, such as Acciona Energy and Abengoa of Spain, and Solel of Israel, are busily setting up shop in America.Electricity from the new plant in Nevada costs an estimated 17 cents per kilowatt hour (kWh), but projections suggest that CSP power could fall to below ten cents per kWh as the technology improves.
There, the 23-year-old PhD student is working on a project for use in the Concentrated Solar Power (CSP) industry.
"The job market is really buoyant; in some areas, managers don't have enough applicants," says Kate Moran, head of employment research and policy at the Chartered Society of Physiotherapy (CSP).
Figures from the Chartered Society of Physiotherapy (CSP) show that three-quarters of women with the condition have never sought help from a health professional; 56% felt too embarrassed with the problem; and 16% felt ashamed.
