The inauguration in March of this concentrated solar power (CSP) plant costing 7.8 billion rand ($640m) is but the crest of a wave of renewable energy projects sweeping across Africa.Projects such as these cannot come quickly enough for a continent starved of energy.
With the emergence in 1942 of the Quit India movement a campaign initiated by Mohandas K. Gandhi to urge the withdrawal of British authorities from India Lohia and other CSP leaders (such as Jaya Prakash Narayan) mobilized support from the underground.
There, the 23-year-old PhD student is working on a project for use in the Concentrated Solar Power (CSP) industry.
"The job market is really buoyant; in some areas, managers don't have enough applicants," says Kate Moran, head of employment research and policy at the Chartered Society of Physiotherapy (CSP).
Figures from the Chartered Society of Physiotherapy (CSP) show that three-quarters of women with the condition have never sought help from a health professional; 56% felt too embarrassed with the problem; and 16% felt ashamed.
The launch of the Noor CSP project has helped the price of electricity produced by CSP to come down to around $0.16 per kWh, but that looks expensive compared to solar PV which has fallen as low as $0.03 per kWh.
In 1934 Lohia became actively involved in the Congress Socialist Party (CSP), founded that year as a left-wing group within the Indian National Congress; he served on the CSP executive committee and edited its weekly journal.
Until she joined the CSP last year, she was the senior Department of Health official responsible for physiotherapy and other so-called allied health professions.
"Physiotherapy as a profession, as a service, has so much to offer, yet is so underutilised by the system," says CSP chief executive Karen Middleton.

Africa is leading the embrace of this idea: it hosts six of the ten biggest CSP plants being built around the world.Big dams and hydropower offer even greater potential.
