In this chapter, the most physical and thermodynamic properties of crude oil (oil density, oil gravity, compressibility, bubble point pressure, solution gas ratio, oil formation volume factor, and viscosity) and gas (gas density, gas compressibility, gas formation volume factor, and viscosity) are defined, and the corresponding correlations are presented.

The effects of rotor speed, inlet flow rate, water temperature, oil content, and crude oil density on separating performance were studied.
As the maturity increases, or the migration and differentiation increased, crude oil density became low, and fluorescence colors of the petroleum inclusions captured in this stage are mainly white, yellow or yellow green.
Since the solubility variation of CO2 within the oil is insignificant at test pressure conditions (Sayegh et al. 1990), in this work, the densities of two oil samples are assumed the same as the dead/live crude oil density.
Consequently, the dead oil viscosity ((mu_{text{od}})) is considered to be a function of the absolute value of reservoir temperature (T) and the crude oil density.
The results of the (live and crude) oil density measurement at temperature of 313.15 and 323.15 K are shown in Fig. 4.
This viscosity model is a function of the absolute value of reservoir temperature (T) and the crude oil density which are more valuable and simple to use.
The first challenge was to develop a unified model of a set of parameters for the entire range of dead crude oil density with only one equation.
