From a visual inspection of the linear predictors produced by regressing participants' decisions on their relative importance score (RIS) derived from VAS values (RISVAS) and on RIS derived from CRS values (RISCRS), it appeared that there were no important differences between them that would indicate that either VAS or CRS was superior.
A solution to this is to treat the CRS values as continuous variables.
