In order to have a better understanding of the strained system, in-plane strain distribution of InGaAs SBL is shown in Fig. 4 (the cross section position is marked by the dash-dot line in the inset of Fig. 3), and the strain distribution scan on the dashed line is also shown.
It is shown that the agreement is good between the predictions of the r-p-p and e-p-p models on the cross-section positions with maximum rotation.

For each animal, tumor size was quantified by pixel area starting at the largest tumor cross-section (position 0) and measuring the tumor area in 100 µm intervals (rostral and caudal).
The significant increase in the numbers of primary phloem fibres at a given cross-section position between the plants sampled at a 50-day interval was observed only in the upper stem part, which at the first sampling date (67-day-old plants) was still close to the SAM (Fig. 1).
The selection of five particles from those available (up to 14) also helped us to ensure this center cross-section positioning, as we were able to only select particles where the focal plane exactly intersected with the center of each particle.
It follows that for a certain cross-section position of a certain fibre bundle, the cambium does not produce a group of fibres, but rather only a single fibre and the formation of secondary phloem fibre bundles is totally based on the significant intrusive elongation of individual fibres.
In a capillary tube with a two-corner cross section, as the corner positions rotate around the center of the circle, the menisci will undergo no change in shape unless the corners start to overlap.
And once again he provides an unflinchingly candid cross section of attitudes and positions in which our sympathies and antipathies keep shifting along lines that are too complex to be straightforwardly ideological.
