But the liberal critique that I thought did hit home came from the Washington Post's Ezra Klein, who noted the peculiarity of watching first Christie and then Ryan talk up the necessity of defying polls and telling unpleasant truths and not tacking your sails at a convention dedicated to nominating a politician known for his flip-flops, convenient evolutions and repeated reinventions.
