The criterion of height more than 2 SDS below the mean + height velocity over 1 year more than 1 SDS below the mean for chronological age had a frequency at final diagnosis of 100%.
In this analysis a child was consider to be cured if a child is discharged fulfilling the criteria of Weight for Height ≥85% for two consecutive weighing and no edema for ten days.
