But with the permission of the government, Facebook, Yahoo, Microsoft and Apple have in the last few days published aggregate numbers of national security and criminal requests, including those authorized by the Foreign Intelligence Surveillance Act.
That's why the Transparency Report today includes, for criminal requests and National Security letters, the number of requests and the number of users/accounts affected.
