I joined CRI in October 2013, as I wanted to have more involvement with my community, and to have a tangible impact on the lives of vulnerable young people in my area.

Reasons argued to contribute to a higher CRI rate includes: i) a low nurse-to-patient ratio, ii) a lack of education, iii) nurse inexperience and iv) a lack of infection control legislation [ 4].

The definition of the CrI is CrI = [(I 002 - I am)/ I 002] × 100 in which I002 is the intensity of the crystalline peak at about 2θ = 22.5° and Iam is the intensity at 2θ = 18.7° (see [ 35]).
The intensities of the amorphous (2 θ =18°) and crystal (2 θ = 22°) regions, as reported by Segal et al. [ 22], were used to calculate CrI as follows: CrI = I 22 ∘ − I 18 ∘ I 22 ∘ × 100%% where I θ° is intensity at the corresponding θ.
Crystallinity index (CrI) was calculated by: CrI = I 002 - I am I 002 where I 002 at 2 θ = 21.5 – 23.0° is the total intensity of crystalline and amorphous components, I am at 2 θ = 17 – 19° is the "valley" intensity of amorphous cellulose, hemicellulose and lignin considering the shift of these peaks after pretreatment [ 10].
