To verify these findings, we analyzed a separate set of H3f3b WT and KO MEF nuclei under identical conditions (n = 91 H3f3b WT and n = 86 H3f3b KO), and again found statistically significant increases in the number of CREST- (P = 0.017) and CENP-A-positive foci (P = 0.004) per nuclei in H3f3b KO MEFs (data not shown).

The prevalence of CNS ≥3/5 within our study population (n = 96) varied between winter and summer measurements and there was strong evidence for a seasonal difference in nuchal crest adiposity (χ1 = 16.45, p < 0.001).
They were unified into a large and diverse superfamily of putative membrane-bound hydrolases called CREST (alkaline ceramidase, PAQR receptor, P er1, SID-1 and TMEM8).

With regard to Cervical Spine Outcomes Questionnaire results there was a significantly higher mean level of psychological distress amongst the patients who had bone graft harvested compared to patients who did not undergo harvesting of iliac crest graft (38.37 vs 19.14, p = 0.024), at a minimum of 1 year post-operatively.
