The Creative Archive project couldn't succeed at the Beeb.

If the CBC is to survive the transition, it could do worse to look to the BBC's own now-shelved plans for the "Creative Archive," announced during the runup to the last Charter Renewal, only to disappear with Greg Dyke after the Hutton Inquiry.
While having to rein in his more expansionist tendencies in the wake of Philip Graf's government commissioned report into BBC Online, he has also overseen the development of the Creative Archive and the interactive Media Player, two technologies that could prove the most revolutionary yet in the BBC's online journey.
But the whole BBC site should be the "creative archive".
