Our study, which took advantage of the somewhat unique structure of the neuromodulatory systems, was able to create a connectivity map from the sources of neuromodulation to their receptor targets in the amygdala and the neuromodulatory nuclei (see Figs. 7, 8, 9, 10, 11).
