Mr. Lang, a Pulitzer Prize-winning composer and a founder of the Bang on a Can new-music collective, has created a libretto out of what he calls Internet secrets.
Mr. Kahane created a libretto that weaves text from the guides alongside snippets from interviews conducted for the project and excerpts from "Spending to Save," a 1938 book by Harry Hopkins (one of Franklin D. Roosevelt's confidants) to document the organization's activities.
