Based on a model which is employed to specifically identify peaks (Poisson distribution, p < 0.05; Additional file 2), the coverage of the peaks in the genome was 8.28%, 8.50% in abnormal cloned piglets and normal cloned piglets respectively.
In addition, the total coverage of the peaks is very different between both groups, with the mean coverage in the non-outliers being 2.3 Mb (0.07 % of the genome) and 136.7 Mb for the outliers (4 % of the genome).
To calculate it we employed Wolfram Mathematica 9.0 to apply low-pass filter with angular frequency of 0.07 and take the ratio of the resulting coverage of the first peak to the coverage of the subsequent minimum.
In general, programs also provide an estimate of the exact binding position, given as a single coordinate calculated either as the highest point of tag coverage in the peak or by some other scoring metric.
However, also in agreement with the GC-MS outcome, combinatorial analysis highlights the grouping of the 50/30 µm CAR-DVB-PDMS, 85 µm CAR-PDMS, 65 µm DVB-PDMS, 7 µm PDMS, and 60 µm PEG fibers to achieve significant coverage of the total chromatographic peaks (94%; Table 3) while economizing sample processing.
Combinatorial analysis identifies an optimal five-fiber combination that is sufficient to achieve 88% coverage of the total chromatographic peaks (Table 3), specifically highlighting the grouping of the 50/30 µm CAR-DVB-PDMS, 85 µm CAR-PDMS, 65 µm DVB-PDMS, 7 µm PDMS, and 60 µm PEG fibers.
Based on the fact that the coverage of cenH3 peaks is only 0.3% that of broad domains, the enrichment of CENP-C at cenH3 peaks relative to cenH3 domains is (163/26 /0.003 ≈ 2000-fold.
With increasing prophylaxis coverage, the peak number of infected individuals increases from 17,000 to 25,000 and the total number of infected individuals increases from 62,000 to 72,000 (Figs. 2a c).
Adding pseudocounts increases the number and the total genomic coverage of detected peaks and increases the signal:noise ratio (Supplementary Figs S1– S1).
In fact, newspaper coverage of the issue has declined from peaks in 2007 and 2009, tracking media in general.
