And numbers released under the Freedom of Information Act last year revealed that 12,000 children were registered in local council databases as "missing from education" with 1,500 of these "untraceable".
The council's database of teacher-related policies in 118 districts — including the 50 largest and the largest in each state — shows that just 61 districts, about half, require subs to have a bachelor's degree.
Over the same period (2002 2007), six yearly sets of 5000 control addresses were randomly sampled from the paediatric population of mainland France by the National Institute for Statistics and Economic Studies (INSEE), using the income and council tax databases of the French households.
MoHs' and Medical Councils' physician databases were used to identify as complete as possible a list of registered physicians in the three cities (Table S2 in the statistical supplementary data).
Table 2 presents the results of the comparison between the scales of full time works councils (FWC), volunteer work councils (VWC), COPSOQ database reference value for administration and management (with a leadership role, LAD), administration and management (without a leadership role, NLA) and also the weighted mean value of the whole COPSOQ database (all occupations, ALL).
The council said its database did include up-to-date details of tenants who had either moved out or died, but "up to 600 were sent to people who previously held a joint tenancy and have moved out and in some cases passed away".
Ex-factory prices (VAT included) for pazopanib and sunitinib were obtained from the Spanish Council of Pharmacists database [ 27].
"Only one of 33 London borough councils publishes a database of vacant property and only one council keeps a list of groups interested in vacant spaces," says Bosetti.
Councils trawl the database of every registered driver in the UK to find the addresses of motorists refusing to pay parking fines, among other things.
