Four horizontal lines from the bottom up in each figure correspond to yield loads of bars HRB400 and HRB500 and the ultimate loads of bars HRB400 and HRB500, respectively.
The first models corresponded to yield models and with the improved understanding of plant/tree physiological functioning and its interplay with climatic factors, process or mechanistic models were subsequently developed taking into account carbon allocation, nutrient and water availability, and climate effects [ 13, 14].
On average, for all depths and locations, from 50 to 220 Mg of total solid could be harvested per square kilometer and year (Table 1), which corresponded to yields of 0.5 to 2.2 Mg/ha.
In the system using PDB, addition of Tu-chung bark in the medium increased the PDG and PMG production yield 1.75- and 1.64-fold, respectively, which corresponded to yields amounting to 385.98 and 875.51 μg/L.
In the bioconversion systems using resting cells, the cells prepared in the medium containing Tu-chung bark led to significant increases in Pin, PMG, and PDG production yield by 829.48, 88.18, and 110.06%, respectively; these increases correspond to yields amounting to 524.04, 884.76, and 651.27 μg/L (Fig. 4c).
The best conditions were 200 bar, 40 °C and 5% ethanol, for which the statistically validated regression models provided: extraction yield of 1.2% (wt)., TTAs concentration of 50%, which corresponds to TTAs yield of 5.1 g/kg of bark and a recovery of 79.2% in comparison to the Soxhlet value.
Surprisingly, a reversible SIM transformation also occurs in this alloy but starts after 1% of applied strain that corresponds to the yield point of the stress strain curve.
The starch utilizing strain CIT1 pAmy) was able to produce 11.9 ± 0.5 mM L-citrulline which corresponds to a yield of 0.167 g/g.
