Since PCV accounts for 54.7% of patients with neovascular AMD in the Japanese population [ 15] and 22.3% in the Chinese population [ 27], it is important to determine if there are some differences in the efficacy of anti-VEGF therapy against PCV and tAMD to choose the correct intervention for neovascular AMD in Asian populations.
Once the intervention agent receives this message, it determines the correct intervention to make to the person.
These simple elements allowed us to formulate a correct diagnosis and organize a therapeutic intervention for the following 48 h; this approach obtained a substantial control of pain in all primary forms.
It computes a score, from the successive outcomes, with successes yielding an increase in the score and failures yielding a decrease in the score, i.e., negative scores for correct interventions and positive scores for incorrect results are calculated as previously reported by Biau et al. [16, 17].
Costs are expressed in monetary terms while health gains are generally expressed in terms of quality-adjusted life years (QALYs), i.e. the amount of life time gained by the intervention corrected for the quality of life (QoL) during that time, with a QoL score of 1 representing perfect health and a QoL score of 0 representing the state of being dead [ 2].
