Wendy Mead, who chairs the corporation's environment committee, said: "Diesel was sold as an environmental solution but it is in fact an invisible killer.
Two French corporations, Vivendi Environment and Suez, lead the industry: Vivendi runs eight thousand systems in a hundred countries; Suez has operations in a hundred and thirty countries.
"She rose to a high level outside of a large corporation, in an environment where intellectual power is more of a factor," said Dina Dublon, the chief financial officer at J. P. Morgan Chase, who once worked for Bank Hapoalim, Israel's largest bank.
But in a corporation where an environment hostile to women is willfully perpetuated in everything from discouraging women from applying for positions in departments like sporting goods or hardware to holding meetings at strip clubs, the fact that store managers have discretion just means that their boy's-club biases, which are consistently rewarded and reinforced, have free rein.
For example, many members believe the intense storm was a product of global warming, and they link that phenomenon to corporations polluting the environment.
"Even at 16 degrees Celsius, there shouldn't be safety or health issues, it's more in terms of comfort and productivity," said Alan Hedge, a Cornell University professor who researches and advises corporations on work environment issues.
The express trains and shared-ride transfers are becoming more attractive to business travelers, said Dave Kilduff, managing director of ground transportation consulting for the CWT Solutions Group, because in "this type of economic environment, corporations are turning over every rock to save money.
In the current environment, corporations are still loath to tack on red lines.
Admittedly Dublin holds attractions as one of the most corporation tax-friendly environments.
In today's competitive business environment, corporations can no longer afford to waste the potential of their workforce.
