These were rinsed with PBS and placed in 16 mm-diameter wells of Corning plates (Corning Glass, Corning, NY) containing 0.5 ml of RPMI with 10% heat-inactivated FCS, 100 units/ml penicillin and 100 µg/ml streptomycin, and incubated in an atmosphere of air/CO2 (95/5%) at 37°C.
The acinar cells were centrifuged at 400 g for 10 seconds for three times in fresh RPMI medium containing 10% FBS and were seeded on flat-bottom 24-well microtitre plates (Corning Glass, Corning, NY, USA) and incubated for two hours at 37°C in a humidified incubator with 5% carbon dioxide to separate glandular immune adherent cells.
Three different types of archeological reference glasses, which were fabricated to mimic historic glass recipes, were investigated: Corning glass A and Corning glass B are Na-rich/Ca-bearing silicates; Corning Glass C is rich in Pb and Ba while Corning Glass D is K- and Ca-rich silicate [ 31, 32] (Table 1).

Thus Bell Labs lost out to Corning Glass and others on the chance to be a leader in the development of fiber optics.
And the free Corning Glass Show has been replaced by the Lawn Club Grill, where passengers pay to assist the chef in grilling their own meals.
