Since many of the core linkages in this network are likely to be conserved throughout animal evolution, identification and cis-regulatory analysis of relevant Runx target genes in experimentally tractable animal models should help illuminate how Runx genes contribute to human development and health.

The resulting map had 11 LGs, which were aligned according to the common bean core linkage map using common molecular markers as anchor points.
Compared to the previous core linkage map (BBM1, [ 17]) both the number of LGs (n = 21) and the total map length (2'221.8 cM) are considerably smaller.
By reanalyzing the original data set used to create the core linkage map [ 17], we found that the map size was increased only by 16.6% (271.21 cM) by including 277 additional markers (map sizes not corrected for missing chromosome ends).
In the BJ population, 116 of 139 polymorphic markers were placed on the established core linkage map (Freyre et al. 1998), whereas 23 were unlinked (at an LOD score >3.0).
Micelle size could be reduced in the presence of a reducing agent, which cleaved the disulfide core linkage and reduced the sizes of the multiarm polymer by half (to yield a 4-arm architecture).
A recent model [ 15] postulated the existence of about 10 core linkage groups (i.e., A'-J') at the base of the vertebrate radiation, that followed two rounds of WGD generated 40 52 chromosomal segments in the gnathostome ancestor.
To construct the new linkage map, we used the raw data (207 AFLPs, 39 SSRs) from the mapping population BBM1 (which was used for the core linkage map [ 17]) plus another 46 SSRs from ref. [ 15] and 209 SSRs derived from the BAC library (Additional file 2).
Nowadays the availability of microsatellite markers and their potential for anchoring new genetic maps have allowed a new expanded version of the core linkage map to be created with several hundred of these types of markers, including markers with putative gene functions.
The resulting map serves as a visual representation of the policy process and is used to illustrate the core actors, linkages, influence level, bottlenecks, incentives, and capacity constraints and for evidence-based and inclusive policy processes.
Examples of issues included within questions on the interview guide include: clarity of the core concepts, linkages between concepts, proposed changes, who they perceived would have a favourable/negative attitude regarding this model, and barriers and facilitators to implementing this model in clinical practice.
