Storage in water or artificial saliva up to one year did not decrease the force needed to dislodge any of the coping groups.
Based on their responses on all interview questions, participants were classified into three coping groups: lack of coping and recognition of the problem, i.e., ineffective coping (score > 4), moderate coping (score 6 to 12), and effective coping (score 13 to 17).
The surface roughness values of the insides of the different coping groups are shown in Table 1.
Table 1 shows that there was no significant difference in surface roughness between the three evaluated ceramic coping groups.
In line with our study results, Owen et al (2005) reported no significant, major effects of a self-guided Internet coping group for women with breast cancer.
On average, subjects reported a positive intensity change (sensitization) for the AC group, and a negative change (habituation) for the PC group, with trending significance for the inter-group difference (AC: ΔVAS = 0.69 ± 2.84, PC: ΔVAS = -0.84 ± 2.60, μ ± σ, AC vs PC p-value = 0.06).> -wrap-foot> Activetive coping group, PC: Passive coping group.
The group with sick leave due to PGP and the group with no sick leave (coping group) had similar PGP intensities of approximately 18. Univariate Mann–Whitney U test revealed that the coping group on average had longer education (15.8 vs 14.8 years), p = .022 and higher work-satisfaction (4.66 vs 4.32), p = .014.014
Finally, the scores on several ODI-items were lower in the coping group [Table 4].> -wrap-foot> Effectect size (Cohen's d); Bonferroni-corrected alpha = 0.005 These results differ from the ODI-results in Table 2, as the effect sizes between the groups are very different for the different items.
In an effort to cope, groups are trying to step up fund-raising, stretch existing resources, and remind people that it is not just the families of Sept. 11 victims who are in need this holiday season.
COPE-NVI is a 60-item self-report questionnaire exploring 15 different types of coping, grouped in 5 large essentially independent dimensions: Social Support (SS), Avoidance Strategies (AS), Positive Attitude (PA), Problem Solving (PS), and Transcendent Orientation (TO) [ 29].
Subjects were randomly assigned into experimentally-controlled active (AC) or passive (PC) coping strategy groups, which set specific instructions as to how subjects were to cope with the EA stimuli.
