Kids loved it because they got to collect cool figures as well as play a diverting action adventure; parents were less sure because the growing range of plastic toys was getting expensive after five instalments – especially when you factored in the rival franchises: Disney Infinity, Lego Dimensions and Nintendo's Amiibo collection.
It is seen that PL intensity in the 780- to 900-nm spectral range increases with cooling (Figure 6a, curve 3).
Thermomagnetic curves show two Curie temperature phases at approximately 250°C and approximately 550°C in heating, and the former phase is disappeared in cooling (Figure 5).
Within this model, the authors created temperature fields inside an HA particle before impact and their transformation into crystal phases after rapid solidification and cooling (Figure 4).
As one can see from Figure 6a, PL peak position, observed for sample with x = 0.5 at 700 to 750 nm, is independent on temperature, whereas the intensity of short-wavelength wing (500 to 650 nm) does not change with cooling (Figure 6a).
Once the FSL irradiation is stopped, they freeze together forming the observed Fe phase nanosphere/conical CNT bundle nanostructures (Fe/CNT nanostructures), while the graphitic shells (if any) of a very complicated structure (Figure 3a) are being extruded during their cooling (Figure 6 (4)).
At the same time, the PL component peaked at 700 to 750 nm can be attributed to the defects located at Si-nc/matrix interface because slight increase of its maximum magnitude is apparently due to overlapping with near-infrared component which intensity increases with cooling (Figure 6a, curve 3).
Once those factors are accounted for, however, clear effects of both hue contrast and lightness contrast are revealed: warmer figures are preferred on cooler backgrounds, cooler figures are preferred on warmer backgrounds, and figures are generally preferred on backgrounds of contrasting lightness.
