In contrast, conjunctions take verbal nouns without case: : Finally, there is a class of particles, usually clause-initial, that are distinct from conjunctions but that also relate clauses: bi olson, harin čamd ögöhgüj I find- but you- give- 'I've found it, but I won't give it to you'.
In contrast, Conjunction 2 (Rs ∩ Rs > Rd) examined the semantic control network.
The ANOVA confirmed all regions identified in the whole-brain approach, and contrasts between conditions (conjunction vs. angle, conjunction vs. color, angle vs. color) computed for these regions produced the same results as the whole-brain contrasts reported in detail later.
While in most previous foraging studies visual salience was used to manipulate selection behavior (e.g. Bond, 1982; Dawkins, 1971), Kristjánsson et al. (2014) contrasted feature versus conjunction foraging to manipulate attentional load.

In contrast, a conjunction analysis designed to isolate activation associated with episodic memory encoding, revealed significant changes in the left hippocampus, as well as in the frontopolar cortex (BA 10) bilaterally, the left inferior parietal cortex (BA 40), and the left superior temporal gyrus (BA 22, 28).
These results indicate that using ADC contrast in conjunction with BOLD imaging can help delineate the various neurovascular compartments, improve the localization of active neural populations, and provide insight into the physiological mechanisms underlying the hemodynamic signals.
In other words, for an effect to be significant at the conjoint level it has to be significant in each and every contrast ('conjoint' conjunction in SPM terminology, Nichols et al., 2005).
Yet all contrasts used in the conjunction reached P < 0.001 uncorrected in the 2 caudal ITG regions (Table 1).
One possible confound, however, is that we used only a conjunction of 2 contrasts for the 3D SfT experiment and a conjunction of 4 contrasts for 3D SfS experiment.
