Construction of contour maps.
The semitone maps were compared against standard mapping in three psychoacoustic experiments with the three mappings; pitch ranking, melody contour identification (MCI) and instrument recognition.
At present, other effective methods for solving inverse spectral problems have been created; among them we point out the method of spectral mappings connected with ideas of the contour integration method.
