After heat treatments at 250 and 400°C, a continuous P-segregation in the grain boundaries of the nanocrystalline structure was directly proved for the first time.
Second, for the continuous PSD, radial segregation is observed even when there is a net positive flux in the annular region, contrary to previous findings which indicated segregation only for conditions leading to a net downward flux in the annular region.
The continuous and transgressive segregation was also detected, indicating involvement of more than two loci (Fig. 5).
The method utilizes integrated effect of vibration force (maceration) and continuous air flow for segregation of particles according to their densities (refer Fig. 1).
Due to the variable composition-dependent density of the fragments, their segregation reflects continuous compartmental distributions throughout the gradient [11].
