In the third model, we additionally adjusted for cardiovascular risk factors of the mother prior to pregnancy; i.e. body mass index (continuous), systolic and diastolic blood pressure (continuous), serum glucose, total serum cholesterol, HDL cholesterol and triglycerides (continuous), prevalent diabetes mellitus, chronic hypertension, and kidney disease.
Eligible patients were men or women aged 18 65 years with a history of headache, fulfilling the diagnostic criteria for migraine without aura (coded as 1.1) [1] as primary headache plus medication-overuse headache (coded as 8.2) [1, 2] with ≥15 headache days every 4 weeks in the past 3 months and with each headache day consisting of ≥4 h of continuous headache prevalent with migraine features.
