In Hamilton Township, Atlantic County, US 322 forms a concurrency with U.S. Route 40, continuing with that route all the way to Atlantic City.
However, as there was no alternative, he continued with that route: 'He thought, because he's near the [local landmark], he's got to walk through [local area], probably not safe, but there's no other route you know, but he risked it anyway'.
