In combination with suppressive subtractive hybridization (SSH) sequences obtained from our previous comparative studies of R. flavefaciens FD-1 and JM1 [30], 430,226 sequence reads from GS FLX pyrosequencing and 28,681 ESTs from Sanger sequencing were assembled using the PHRED/PHRAP system [31], [32], [33], producing 119 primary contiguous sequences (Table 1).
Why: Blank cells within a contiguous data table are potentially problematic for reading files in other programs.
The central Indian highlands landscape has been severely modified over the past few centuries, leading to extreme fragmentation of historically contiguous habitat (Table 3, Rangarajan 1999).
Of 372 enzymes with Transporter Classifications, 242 belong to the ATP-binding cassette (ABC) superfamily 3.A.1, and 118 of this subset are predicted carbohydrate importers based on automated annotation, organized in 42 contiguous clusters (Table 2).
Inspired by the positive impact of the hydroxyl group to the chiral recognition (Fig. 2), we subsequently applied the SMO to the kinetic resolution of α-substituted secondary allylic alcohols, and achieved excellent enantio- and diastereo-selectivity, generating a spectrum of glycidol derivatives with contiguous stereogenic centers (Table 3; Fig. 3a) (Lin et al. 2011c).
About 23% of the clusters contained one EST, 50% contained two ESTs from the same clone, and 31% of the clusters contained ESTs from more than one clone that were assembled into a consensus sequence, or contiguous sequence (contig) (Table 3).
These scenarios range from critically endangered populations to monitoring gene flow and genetic drift in large contiguous vibrant populations (Table 1).
We identified a total of 2,731 unique sequences, consisting of 2,234 singletons and 497 contigs from the assembly of 4,594 overlapping and contiguous quality reads (Table 1).
Subsets of the strain-specific genes found exclusively in strain 98-10 or B128 were found in contiguous chromosomal loci (Table 4).
To identify selective sweeps within each breed, a minimum number of five breed-specific contiguous monomorphic SNPs (Table 1) spanning 100 kb (UMD3.1 coordinates) and with a MAF lower than 0.01 was required.
Although sequence information for the central portion of the gene is missing, using a forward primer from contig 23485908 and a reverse primer from contig 83285534, a ∼1.5 kb fragment is amplified from genomic DNA while multiple bands are observed from cDNA confirming that these two contigs are contiguous (1.PY_PFB0505c in Table 6 and Fig. 3).
