In the frequentist approach, pioneered by Philip Resnik [ 23], the relative frequency of encountering an instance of a term in a text corpus, or database is used to quantify the information content of the term.
As such, any definition of Quality of Care is useful not because of the detail it provides but because that detail reflects the emotive, evaluative or rhetorical content of the term.
It is because consistency in Hilbert's sense turns just on this abstract structure, and not on the contents of the terms instantiating the structure, that the reinterpretation strategy is effective.
We restricted analysis to ontologies associated with between 20 and 1500 genes and used the information content of these terms to identify potential redundancy.
