Animals, higher plants and fungi contain SNAP-25-like proteins bearing two SNARE motifs, at their N- and C-termini (i.e. SNAP-25, SNAP-23 and SNAP-29 in humans, Sec9p and Spo20p in the yeast Saccharomyces cerevisiae).
